I have a strong suspicion that teachers may use Cereal Boxes for Bookshelves when they run out of space. Â I can’t think what else they’re doing with these blasted things. Only very occasionally does anything come home resembling what was once a crispies box. Â The shoeboxes of course all reappear as miniature Roman villas, or the interior of a Victorian slum (which maybe started out as the Drawing Room in Downton Abbey before child sat on it). Â So, the only Cereal Box explanation could be that Miss is fed up with unsteady book-ends causing all the hundreds of ORT ‘readers’ to topple off the end of the shelves; she keeps them nice and compact in these.
